Existential Decay is a 3D printed and painted sculpture of a glitched tetrahedron. The once symmetric Platonic solid is weathered, deformed, and eroded by irregular polyhedrons. Rectangular cuboids are arranged and colored to mimic the pixel sorting effect used in glitch art. This is an attempt to recreate the two-dimensional digital aesthetic in the physical world.
The work epitomizes the creator’s reflection of his existence, a life of downfall and ideals deterioration ever since its emergence, an entity of decay.
